git-tf: The servers response could not be parsed as XML: {0}

Hey All,

I am a newbie and just installed git-tfs on my Mac. I am trying to clone an existing TFS repository onto my Macbook and I am getting this error on typing the following on my terminal:

git tf clone http: //host/port/tfs/directory $/Desktop (the space after http: is intentional to avoid the line to become a link)

It asks me for my credentials and then gives me the message:
git-tf: The servers response could not be parsed as XML: {0}

I'd really appreciate any help on this!

Thanks,
H

Hi,

You should use a colon, but not a slash between "host" and "port" parts in your Team Project Collection URL, i.e.
http: //host:port/tfs/directory
presuming that "directory" is the name of your Team Project Collection.
